Terms of service

Last updated October 10, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Ludota (the person who runs it, named in the privacy policy) when you use ludota.com. By creating an account you accept them. How Ludota handles your data is described in the privacy policy.

The service

Ludota lets you keep track of the video games you are playing, have finished and want to play, on a board, and share a public profile if you choose to. It is in public beta: features may change, be added or be removed, and it may sometimes be unavailable.

Price

Ludota is free and shows no ads. What you can do for free stays free: if paid extras are offered one day, they will be optional and cover new features, never ones that are already free.

Your account

  • You must be at least 14 years old.
  • An account belongs to one person. Use an email address you can read: it is how you sign in and how you recover access.
  • Keep access to your email and your passkeys safe. You are responsible for what happens on your account.

Your content

What you add to Ludota (your board, notes, tags, display name and bio) stays yours. You allow Ludota to store it and to show it as your settings say: only to you, or on your unlisted or public profile. You can download your board as a CSV file and delete your account at any time from Settings.

Acceptable use

Do not use Ludota to:

  • put anything illegal, hateful, sexually explicit or harassing in your name, bio or game titles shown on your profile;
  • pretend to be someone else, or advertise or spam;
  • interfere with the service: automated sign-ups or scraping, getting around its limits, or probing it for weaknesses without permission.

Anyone signed in can report a profile. Admins review reports and may hide a profile that breaks these terms, telling its owner why. Accounts that seriously or repeatedly break them may be suspended or deleted.

Game data

Game names, covers, release dates and other game information come from IGDB and may be incomplete or wrong. Game names, covers and trademarks belong to their owners. Ludota is not affiliated with IGDB, Twitch or any game publisher or platform.

No warranty

Ludota is provided free of charge, as it is and as available, without any promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost: export your board from time to time if it matters to you. To the extent the law allows, the owner is not liable for indirect losses or for loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, nor the rights you have as a consumer.

Ending

You can stop using Ludota and delete your account whenever you like. If Ludota ever closes, you will be told at least 30 days in advance, with time to download your board.

Changes to these terms

These terms may change as Ludota grows. Important changes are announced by email and in the app at least 30 days before they apply, and the date at the top changes with them. If you do not agree, you can download your board and delete your account before then; using Ludota after that date means you accept the new terms. Small changes that do not affect your rights, such as clarifications, may apply right away.

Languages

These terms are written in English and in Italian. Both versions say the same and are equally valid.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of Italy, without taking away the protection given to you by the law of the country where you live. For any question, write to hello@ludota.com.
